FlipSid3 Tactics have kept their qualification hopes alive in Katowice after defeating Immortals 16-12 on Train in an elimination match. The last elimination match in Katowice saw FlipSid3 Tactics and Immortals go head-to-head on Train, with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov showing his intent to redeem himself from his poor display against OpTic with a quad kill in the pistol round. After losing an eco, Immortals went on a full buy in the third round, a move that paid off and eventually allowed them to take a 3-1 lead. But once FlipSid3 got their economy stabilised the tie swung back in their favour as they strung eight rounds together, forcing the Brazilians to call a timeout. Ricardo "boltz" Prass then gave Immortals some breathing room with a 1vs2 clutch, but FlipSid3 rallied back and secure a comfortable 11-4 lead. Now playing on the CT side, Immortals went on a great run, winning eight of the first nine rounds to restore parity at 12-12. But then FlipSid3 adjusted their offense after a timeout, picking up two rounds in a row to break the Brazilians' economy before ultimately securing a 16-12 finish.
